This Privacy Policy covers your privacy rights when using the marketplace (“Marketplace”) of Cottage Baker (“CottageBaker.com”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). Our Marketplace includes our websites, programs, and tools, including those designed for mobile devices. Please read below to learn about how we collect, use, and protect your information through our Marketplace. By using our Marketplace, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Collection
We collect personal information to make our Marketplace more useful to you. Personal information is the information you provide to us which personally identifies you. You can use our Marketplace without revealing any personal information about yourself.

If you purchase an item through our Marketplace, we will ask for your credit card number, but we do not store it on our servers. Please read the “Transactions” section of this Privacy Policy to learn how your financial information is collected and protected.
When you use our Marketplace, we may collect information sent to us by your device, like your location. This information is not personally associated with you.
If you are a Seller on our Marketplace, your shop location is used to identify your shop on a map for users you determine your approximate proximity to their location. However, we do not allow users to zoom in to the point that they can determine your actual shop location.
We may partner with third party services to collect general statistics about usage of our Marketplace, like browser types, page views, and navigational patterns. The information sent to these third parties is not personal information, and it is collected anonymously. We do not have control over these services, and they are not covered by this Privacy Policy.
Third Party Applications
We offer sign-on services that allow you to login to our Services using a third party application. Using any of these applications is optional, and you may give us permission to access some of your personal information from these third parties. The type of information we collect varies by the application and your privacy settings within that application. By authorizing us to have access to this information, you agree that we may collect, use, and store this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information You Share
People can see some of your personal or business information that you choose to display.
You can hide your name from public view, but your username is publicly displayed throughout our Marketplace and is connected to all of your activity on our site. If you associate your name with your username, some people may be able to personally identify your activity on our Marketplace.
If you use our Marketplace on a shared computer or device, some information like your username or site activity may be visible to people that use that device after you.
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this Privacy Policy. We never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may combine your personal information with information we collect from other companies to improve our Marketplace. We may provide aggregate statistics about our users, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third parties or the public, but these statistics cannot be used to identify a specific person.
We may disclose your personal information in the good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to (a) obey the law or comply with a legal procedure; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Cottage Baker or users of our Marketplace; (c) act in an emergency to protect the personal safety of members of the public; or (d) investigate or act regarding violations of our Terms of Service.
If we are merged with or acquired by another company, we will notify you by electronic mail and by a prominent notice on our Marketplace before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Communication
Much of the electronic mail (“email”) we send is service-related and required. However, some of our emails are optional and if you no longer wish to receive them, simply follow the unsubscribe instructions in the email, or contact us to modify subscriptions.
Our emails may contain mechanisms to track email activity, such as the opening of emails or the clicking on links within an email. This activity is stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. We use this information to refine future emails and provide more relevant content.
Transactions
Our payment processors, PayPal and Stripe, use some personal and financial information that you supply to complete your transactions on our Services. We secure that information by sending it to PayPal or Stripe using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We do not store your credit card number on our servers, but PayPal and Stripe may store it for future transactions. We are not responsible for the privacy policy of PayPal or Stripe, or their use of the personal and financial information it collects in connection with your transactions.
Orders
When users place an order, they may have access to each other’s name, username, email address, phone number, physical address, and/or other information. You agree to use this information only for order-related purposes that are not unsolicited commercial messages.
Using Cookies
Cookies are pieces of data sent to your computer when you visit a website. They allow the website to reuse information like your user preferences when you navigate between pages or visit the site again. We use cookies to improve your experience on our Marketplace. You have the option to accept or disable cookies at any time through your browser. However, some portions of our Marketplace may not function properly without cookies.
Modifying Your Account
You are able to update most of your information by signing into your account on our Marketplace. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from our Services as soon as reasonably possible. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13. If we learn that a user is under the age of 13, we will remove their account.
